Does marble tile need to be sealed

Natural marble is a porous material with water absorption. When dust, oil, acid and other harmful substances penetrate into the fine pores with water, they will be eroded, even broken. In addition, marble tile used as a ground material is not wear-resistant. Therefore, it is necessary to seal to improve the weather resistance, waterproof, dustproof, wear resistance, strength and other properties of marble.

Marble tile seal performance has the following advantages:

1) Protection from erosion and pollution of various external substances. 

2) Prevent various quality problem on surface of the stone, so as to maintain a long-term and good decorative effect, prevent the intrusion of external moisture and substances harmful to the stone in the air, and ensure that the stone will not change color after several years. 

3)Prevent the color change on faces of the stone after installation under wet and rain condition, so that the stone always shows natural and bright texture and features. 

4) Prevent the stone surface from weathering.

Dry-hanging marble tile walls can be sealed with a waterproofing agent. The method of construction of marble tile waterproofing agent is brushing. The auxiliary materials used in the brushing method are brushes, rollers, sponges, non-fading cloths, and containers for waterproofing agents. When brushing the water repellent, first apply a clean brush or roller and other brushing tools with an appropriate amount of water repellent from the left side of the board to the right, and then move the brush down and brush from the right to the left.
